Brins Is Merciful (Challenge/Essay)
You're really pushing me, friends, as regards the challenge. No entries! And only one day to go!!
You leave me no option but to make you a deal you can't refuse:
I'm going to extend the deadline to the end of the week.
Now you have no excuses not to enter!
What is the challenge? See the post below or check 'Dr. Wily's Revenge' under the Challenge section.
In other news, our good recipient
Air recently raised an interesting point regarding
Megaman:
How in the blue blazes did he get to eight games? To satisfy Air's curiosity, Megaman didn't. He got to
35.
Then along came Megaman X. He made
16 (along with Zero).
But let's not forget Megaman Legends. That got to
5.
And, last but not least, there's Megaman Battle Network. That made it up to
10.
To be fair, some of the games mentioned are doubles between series. Still, frightening, eh? That's without mentioning that fact that the games are
still being made.
66 games? Clearly the Blue Bomber must have struck a chord somewhere.
To this day, it baffles me why Dr. Wily didn't just have all his robots ambush Megaman when his back was turned. Or why Megaman didn't just teleport straight to the good(bad?) doctor in the first place. And for that matter, why doesn't Dr. Light just create a bunch of robots to counter Wily's? Why doesn't the army just blow up Wily's lab? Are Megaman and Dr. Light the only ones who really seem to care about him trying to take over the world?
So many questions, so few answers. You'd think Wily would just get fed up and go home. Or Sigma and X would settle their differences and be friends. You'd think... therefore you would.
But hey, someone's got to
fight for everlasting peace.
